He is one of the top-ranked men’s singles and doubles players in the world and has been named “the most electrifying man in sports” by Barstool Sports. Known for his athleticism, competitive spirit, and charismatic personality, McGuffin has won numerous major titles in pickleball, including multiple gold medals at the USA Pickleball National Championships and two triple crowns! Tyson has spent a lot of time here in Los Barriles, both vacationing with family, and teaching clinics. He embodies the laid back spirit of the town and, of course, its love for pickleball. Tyson has supported the Los Barriles community while playing pickleball, fishing with locals, and hosting many dinners at our local restaurants.
Before becoming a professional pickleball player, McGuffin was a tennis player and coach. He transitioned to pickleball and quickly rose to the top ranks of the sport. McGuffin has a strong passion for teaching, and bringing the joy of pickleball to the world. His impact on the sport has helped increase its popularity, visibility and love worldwide.
